I heard something in church recently that was so good, that I felt compelled to share it with you.

Dr. Ben Young preached an incredible sermon on life-altering events or what he referred to as LAEs (life-altering events)

He said that LAEs cause detours in our lives.

But we're not supposed to ignore these detours.

Because they’re there for a reason.

You have 3 choices when you experience an LAE and the subsequent detour, you have three options:

  1. Deny it’s there
  2. Allow it to cause you to quit
  3. Persevere

His key takeaway: Sometimes your detour becomes your path.

How many detours has life given you?

Maybe you're going through a detour right now.

Be open to it being your new path.

One of my biggest detours was caused when I was fired from my corporate job in July 2005.

While I certainly didn't look at it as a good thing back then, hindsight is 20/20.

Had I not experienced this LAE, there may not be a Mister Productivity today.
