Do You Need a Coach?

Do you need a coach?

The short answer is: only if you want to become a better person than you are today!

There's a reason high performers are high performers: they seek out help (in coaches) to help them keep getting better. If high performers invest in coaches, why wouldn't you?

It never ceases to amaze me that most successful (and wealthy) people hire multiple coaches while people who are not, don’t. And they don’t improve. Or if they do, it is a slower process.

13 reasons why you should consider hiring a productivity coach

  1. You're stuck and don’t know what to do next.
  2. You feel as if you are working hard but not accomplishing much. You’re not accountable to anyone.
  3. You have no peace or joy in your life because you are either working too hard or not working on what you need to be working on.
  4. You have a fear of taking the next step.
  5. You can’t seem to get started.
  6. You feel overwhelmed by everything you have to do.
  7. You'd like someone unbiased to talk...

Being Intentional with Your Time

podcast Feb 08, 2019

You get 24 hours to spend however you want, but how are you REALLY spending your 24 hours? Is reality different from the story you tell yourself?

I once saw a television show where a character said the line, "time was created so that everything doesn't happen at once." I love that line.

Time is a dispassionate thing. It doesn't care about you, your ambitions, or whether you use it or now.

Tracking your time

Many people have no idea where their time is going.

All they know is that they spent it. But if you pressed them how they spent their time today, most people would not be able to list off a bunch of stuff they did.

A way to discover your truth which will set you free (as painful as it may be), is for you to track your time.

Don't make this complicated. Just use the notes app on your smartphone and record everything you do throughout the day. Bonus points if you also include:

  • how long it took you
  • did it really need to be you?
  • rate how important the task was

Why I Don’t Swear Here, There or Anywhere

my thoughts Feb 01, 2019

Swearing seems to be everywhere today.

Everyone is using vulgar language on social media, on podcasts, and even on stages in front of thousands of people.

Well, not everyone.

I have chosen not to swear anywhere.

It's not for religious reasons but rather because I respect you.

The last thing I want to do is offend you with my words.

Let me elaborate…

First, a little background about me.

I was born in 1965 and grew up in the 1970s and early 1980s. On the first day of summer in 2020, I’ll be 55! Senior discounts? Oy! How did that happen?

In 1983, I graduated from high school and then from college in 2001.

Over the course of my time on this planet, I’ve been an on-air radio DJ (now they call them air personalities), volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT), and an inventory control coordinator.

And now I’m an entrepreneur.

I’ve watched as our society has not only accepted swearing but also embraced and glorified it.

Frankly, I...
