As a productivity expert, I know the power of taking care of myself.
I've learned about the importance of and have been eating less processed food (including drinking Diet Coke).
When I feed my body good food - food that it wants, I have more energy.
So I get more things done.
But this last week, I went off-the-rails.
Last Friday, my youngest daughter - whom I haven't seen in over two years, came to visit for a week.

You don’t just become more productive because you wake up one day with a desire to be.
And hoping you become so is not a great strategy.
But neither do you need to spend your precious time researching the habits that will help you be a more productive person.
Here are eight habits that will improve your productivity immediately.
If you’re not doing any of these or if you’re doing just a few, good for you for acknowledging that.
But let this list make you feel overwhelmed.
No one I have ever met has said, “I hope that I have an unproductive day today.”
And yet I’ve met more than a few people who have no idea how to have a tremendously productive day.
There are several reasons why this is so:

- lack of motivation
- not feeling well mentally or physically
Not only is it possible to have a productive day every day but it’s simple to do once you know how.
